GRAY AREA Hawthorne Hall Community Meeting #1

By Gray Area Philly (other events)

Wednesday, March 19 2014 6:00 PM 7:30 PM EDT

ABOUT ABOUT

You're invited to play "cards" and discuss the future and potential of Hawthorne Hall, the wonderful neighborhood landmark that straddles Mantua and Powelton Village on Lancaster Avenue.

GRAY AREA is developing a preservation toolkit -- a deck of cards designed to promote community dialogue and provocative thinking about old buildings. Attendees will have a chance to "play" with the cards and provide feedback and ideas about Hawthorne Hall and the toolkit itself.

Our goal is to create a tool that will faciliate thinking about Hawthorne Hall and be replicable elsewhere and useful to communities both in brainstorming about old buildings and evaluating actual development proposals

Please join us at our first meeting:

  • Weds. March 19, 6-7:30 PM, Monica's/St. Andrew's Church, 3600 Baring Street

And save the date:

  • Weds. May 28, 6-7:30 PM, Catalyst for Change Church, 3727 Baring Street.

The meetings are free, of course, but registration is appreciated!
